What's it all about?

If you are interested in growing food and beautiful flowers without using non-renewable resources, without polluting the environment and without killing wildlife then Organic Gardening is for you.

Who are we?

Berkshire Organic Gardeners, formed in 1975, is affiliated to the Henry Doubleday Research Association, an organisation which aims to improve horticulture generally by carrying out research into improved methods of organic farming and gardening. Our aims are:
  • To interest people, in particular gardeners and allotments holders, in organic methods of horticulture
  • To encourage the growing of vegetables and fruit free from additives and potentially harmful chemicals
